TERMS & CONDITIONS 

Considering the current pandemic, I have reviewed and updated Kärlek Beauty terms and condition in line with the government guild lines and updated my cancellation policy for December.

 

COVID-19

If I feel unwell or develop symptoms of C0VlD-19, I shall self-isolate immediately and close for the isolation period of two weeks. This may mean that I shall have to cancel your appointment at short notice. I appreciate that this may be inconvenient, but it is done entirely for your own safety. If your appointment is cancelled, you shall be able to re-book again.

 

If you or anyone in your household feels unwell or display any symptoms of C0VlD-19 – please advise me as soon as possible and DO NOT COME TO YOUR APPOINTMENT.

If you are currently awaiting a test or for your test results then please do not come to your appointment and rearrange your appointment after the 10 day isolation period.

Please note - You will not be charged for any appointments which you miss due to Covid-19.

 

Covid- 19, Pre-Screening Agreement form

I now have a new covid-19 Kärlek Beauty Pre- Screening Agreement Form, that you will need to complete 24 hours prior to your appointment. This will be within your second email reminder and must be completed prior to your appointment. This is now a compulsory procedure that complies with my insurance. Incomplete forms will result in a cancellation of your appointment.

Track and trace

I now have the track and trace system set up. If you have a smart phone, please can you download the app prior to your appointment.

 

Choosing your nail colour

Nail colours are no longer on my nail display key ring and are now in a display booklet, which requires you to only look at the colours and not to be touched. I have a list of all my nail colours that I can send to you, should you wish to choose a colour before your appointment.

 

Cancellations  

Clients must cancel or reschedule appointments 48 hours in advance.  This will enable me to allocate the booking to another client.

 

If the cancellation notice is less than 48 hours, a chargeable fee of 50% of your full treatment price, shall be applied to your account. If the cancellation is less than 24 hours, a chargeable fee of 100% of your full treatment price, shall be applied to your account. You will not be able to book further appointments until the outstanding balance is fully paid.

 

I understand sickness and illnesses can occur within less than 48 hours and please do ensure you are fit and healthy to attend your appointment. It will be at my discretion should you cancel within 48 hours due to illness, if there is a chargeable fee that shall be applied to your account.

 

In severe weather conditions, I do accept cancellations (less than 24hours) with no additional charges. Please note this will be at my discretion.

Reminders and tardiness

Please arrive in good time as tardiness will prevent full treatment due to subsequent bookings.

 

Arriving 15 minutes late will result in a cancellation of treatment and a chargeable fee of 100% of your treatment price will be applied onto your account.

 

Where possible, online consultation forms are to be completed prior to your appointment. Please arrive 10 minutes prior to your treatment if the consultation form has not been completed online. This will enable you to get the correct amount of time for your treatment.

 

Please note, arriving more than 10 minutes early to your appointment may result in me not being available due to my previous client.

 

Confirming Appointments

Reminders of each appointment will be emailed to you 7 days and 1 day prior to your appointment.

 

Please confirm your appointment by contacting myself either by telephone, SMS or the online booking app. Your appointment is not secure if you do not confirm with me and I shall have the appointment available for others to book in.

 

On arrival to your appointment

For your safety and to maintain social distancing, I ask that you attend your appointments as close to the appointment time as possible. Please do not turn up early for appointments as this may mean that you may come into close contact with other clients who are just leaving.

 

I have increased the frequency of cleaning my treatment room including making sure that common surfaces, door handles etc are wiped clean using disinfectant products between each client.

 

I have created a hand wash area within my treatment room. You will have access to soap, hot water and you are required to wash your hands on arrival and when leaving the premises. Hand sanitiser will also be available for you to use.

 

All tools and equipment will be disinfected or sterilised in line with the specific manufacturers’ instructions for your safety. 

 

Wherever possible I will utilise environmentally, friendly, single use items during a treatment, that will be disposed of safely after use to protect you from cross infection.

 

I understand and will not be offended if you wish to wear a facemask or wear disposable gloves when you visit me during your treatment.

 

Please do not be surprised or upset if I use personal protective equipment (PPE) during your visit and during your treatment. This may include disposable gloves, face masks and aprons where appropriate.

 

I can confirm that the laundering of salon towels and uniforms is a priority. I can assure you that all laundry is washed at 60 degrees C.

 

All disposable items are bagged and safely removed from the treatment area between each client.

 

During your treatment

I understand the importance of hand hygiene and I will ensure that I wash my hands in according with NHS recommendations before the start of your treatment.

 

I will try to make your treatment as safe, comfortable, and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns about your treatment, please do let me know and I will do what I can to satisfy you.

 

Payments

To avoid handling of cash, treatments are now to be paid by card or advance using bank transfers. All bank transfer payments must be paid prior to leaving your appointment as this will save me a lot of time sending out reminders and receiving late payments that will result in late fee payment charges.

 

A late payment fee of £20.00 shall be charged after 24 hours from the appointment date.

 

Advance payments can now be made when booking your appointment online. This is the most effective and preferable payment method for me.

Gift vouchers

Gift vouchers can be purchased online.

 

Gift vouchers are valid for 3 months. The standard redemption period is 3 months from date of issue.

 

The responsibility of using the gift voucher prior to expiry lies with the recipient of the gift voucher.

 

No pre-expiry reminders will be sent by from Kärlek Beauty. 

 

Protect your voucher – This voucher has monetary value, if in a circumstance this voucher is lost, and another person comes across it, the voucher can still be redeemed.

 

Gift vouchers need to be presented at your appointment and where possible advised prior to your arrival that you wish to redeem a gift voucher.

 

Please note: The Kärlek Beauty gift voucher cannot be redeemed for cash, or refunded and cannot be replaced if lost, damaged or stolen.

 

Loyalty cards

Your loyalty card will be presented to you on your first visit and explained that each box will need to be signed and dated by Claudette Sookool at each appointment.

 

Once all boxes have been signed and dated this will then entitle you to a £5.00 discount on any treatment.

 

Loyalty cards must be presented and shown before the £5.00 discount is given.

 

It is your responsibility to keep your loyalty card safe. Without presenting the card I am unable sign and date or provide the £5 discount.

 

Consultation forms

Client consultations are a crucial part of being in the professional beauty industry. They protect both me and the client to ensure that I do not perform any treatments on a client that may be detrimental to their well-being.

 

All consultation forms must now be completed online prior to your appointment. Forms can be found within your booking confirmation via email.

 

Please note on returning to see me I request that all my existing clients resubmit a new consultation form. I will be then requesting a new form every 3 months instead of every 6 months.

 

Consultation forms need to be completed to the best of your knowledge and you must consent for assessment and treatment.

 

Please note - I am not a medical expert and recommend you visit your GP concerning any medical conditions.

 

Nails

Nail chippings and repairs are free of charge within the first five days of treatment. After the 5-day period nail repairs are at a charge of £2 per nail.

 

By following the nail after care and taking care of your newly nails, you will get the full advantage and enjoy long lasting nails for up to 4 weeks.

 

Please ensure you notify me prior to your appointment if you have existing gels that need removing from your nails. This shall ensure I am able to allocate enough time to perform the procedure and prevent clashes with subsequent bookings.

 

I can remove gels that I have not applied. This however will be at an additional cost of £10.

We are now washing our hands more than ever. Hand washing and sanitizer can cause your gels to lift and chip a lot faster than before.

 

Please note: Builder in a bottle (BIAB) is at an additional charge of £5.

 

Eye Treatments 

All eye treatments are only for natural eye lashes.

 

Please ensure you arrive to your appointment with no eye make up on or lash extensions.

 

A patch test is required for all lash treatments, at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. If a patch test is incomplete this will prevent your treatment on the day and therefore will result in a chargeable fee of 100% of your treatment to your account. You will not be able to book further appointments until the outstanding balance is fully paid.

Competition Entries and Winners 

I will throughout the year have ongoing competitions and giveaways with the results posted on Facebook and Instagram.

 

Information on how to enter and expiry dates will be included on social media.

 

You must enter the competition in the given time frame, or your entry will be invalid, and you will not be entered into the competition.

 

Competition winners. Your prize is valid for 3-months from when you receive your prize confirmation. After 3 months your booking will be invalid, and you will not receive your prize.

 

Competitions winners are entitled to pass their prize to another person if they are unable to take the treatment. The treatment will be valid for 3 months from when the competition winner received their prize confirmation.
